Welcome to The Playing Human Conference!
We will be filling Conway Hall on Red Lion Square in London on 27-28 September 2018 with people, laughter, chat, fun, tales of joy from around the world, and energy that is unsurpassed by any measure.
To remind you of the background for this conference, the idea came from a recent article I read about the importance of playing as an adult and my mind wandered back to an exhibition I visited in my teens at the art gallery, Louisiana, north of Copenhagen (worth a visit).
The exhibition was called Homo Ludens – the playing human.
This led to further inspiration as I was reminded of a book I came across back then, the book written in 1938 by Dutch historian and cultural theorist Johan Huizinga, “Homo Ludens”. A bit of context: http://
I am so excited about this opportunity to bring awesome speakers together to share their view on play, happiness, laughter and life.
And I understand that to even consider booking a conference taking place in September 2018 may seem way out of your planning.
However, when you postpone your decision you may end up disappointed because suddenly the dates have been taken up by other things.
So, my invitation to you is to book your place now – make your choice for those two days, 27-28 September 2018, and invite the people you know to come along to a amazing event.
Please make sure you get your place at the early bird fee of £300 as it will not be around forever – if you are VERY snappy you may even get one of the few seats left at only £250.
